When the world has become too strange, or maybe too BORING, and you wonder if you’ve maybe crossed over the edge, maybe — SOMETIMES — you have to pick the box up and

totally flip it on its end, let all the colored marbles, crystals, crayons, paints, crumbs, ALL of that, just fall on the ground!!

…and then rummage around and see what beautiful things there are to play with.

There are a lot of possibilities! It’s not either/or, it’s not black/white either, it’s COLORS and GLOWS and LUMINESCENCE, shadows, and so much more —
Why be restricted to ONE way of doing things when so many possibilities and opportunities exist?
Once you dare to consider that, just maybe, you don’t *have* to be the same as everyone around you, and just possibly you may be different from what was always *expected* of you – you might turn out to be a little odd!

Can you live with that? Is it okay – for *you* — to be different, to do different, open things up, shake things, tumble them around, create a sort of kaleidoscope out of the pieces of your life that never quite fit in?
Who knows what magic will come when you do that??

when you open yourself to the wind made by a butterfly passing through your world???

Perhaps you are feeling just a bit whimsical, maybe you feel the urge to dance. Maybe the scent of lilacs coming into bloom wakes up a distant memory of being young and free, twirling in the gentle spring breezes as they entered your yard.

What do adults with no grandchildren to play the old games with – like cat’s cradle, or button spinning, or jacks, or marbles – do?
We can’t sit and watch TV or play computer games all the time, where’s the fun in that??!!!
The older I get, the more power I find in letting go of all the old templates and expectations placed on me by family and by culture and which I accepted to “fit in” or act/appear “normal”. What the heck is “normal”, anyway??!!
I intend to deliberately embrace “WEIRD” and dance in the rain until my knees give out, sing songs at the top of my lungs out of key with made up lyrics, talk to total strangers, say whatever comes to mind, and just be that wacky but funny old lady!!!
(BTW, where is that different drummer anyway, and why isn’t everyone out here dancing!!!?)

So – be daring, wear bold colors, put on old music and dance while no one is watching, tip the box over on its edge and just see what falls out for you to see with fresh eyes.
